HUNUA.
On Saturday last a cricket match was played on Messrs McConne Bros, farm, between the ladies and men of the district. The latter were attired jn skirts apd batted and bowled left-banded. Some of them presented a very comical appearance, especially one of good proportions who could not get his skirt to meet around him. The ladies were eighteen strong and batted first, making 67 runs. The men ran up a score of 74. A firstclass afternoon tea was provided by the ladies and was heartily enjoyed by one and all. A* collection taken up in aid of Ihe Soldiers' Relief Fund realised £2 ss.
Next Saturday another cricket match i between the i North and South ends is to be played in Mrs J.. Bills paddork. Play it to commence at 11 a.m. and at 2 p.m. there will be a greasy pig chase. There will also be a guessing competition. Altogether a good day'B tun is looked forward to.
