PATUMAHOE.
Mr W. H. B. Firth has disposed of bis farm "The Grange," ci. prising some 400 acres in ex..,., to* Mr Morrison, of Auckland, the purchase price being £22 10s per acre. Mr Firth purchased this property seme live years ago when it was practical!}' in ita native state, overgrown with gorse and scrub. During his occupation he has with skill and the outlay of a large amount of capital transformed it it to a modern farm. He has also erected a nice dwelling house and outbuildings, and is therefore worthy of congratulations for his successful enterprise. Ihe Tennis Club closed a successful series of weekly dances with a social, which was held on Wednesday of last week, in the fublic Ball. There was a good attendance and every one seemed to thorouhgly enjoy themselves. Dancing was kept up till the early hours of the morning. Good music was supplied on the piano by Mr Feid, several extras being played by Miss V. Bailey. Mr Roy Moore proved an efficient M.C. Supper was provided by the Club. The committee wish to thank Mr F. Kavanagb, senr., for his assistance in attending to the sale of the ticket*.
