* CREAMERY TO BE CLOSED. At the request of the sjppliers ot the New Zealand Dairy Assoda t ion'a local creamer*, Mr Pacey, managing director of tbe Aisociation, addresseJ a representative gathering of supplurs in the Tuakau Hall on Wednesday morning last in connection with the proportionate increaae of- tbe coat ot "running'' (he creamery brought about by the withdrawal of some ' suppliers and the adoption .of home s'paratioi by others. Mr C. Motion, a director rl the ABaociatior, pi ended, and madf it clear thai it was iitt tbe Association's wish that the creamery should be closed, but it would be left to tbe supplitrs to decide for themaelves. Mr ■ Pacey, in a lucid speech, explained that it was owing tw a large percentage ot tbe suppliers having, gone in for home separation that the cost of aeparating at the factory bad increaaed. On tbe propoaal of Captain Kyder, seconded by Mr W. Smeed, it waa unanimously decided to close tbe creamery, aa from the 20th November. | It wea further arranged that the • creamery should, be used; ai a damping station for the reception ot cream to be sent, via rail, to. toe Pukekohe butter factory.
