The Kaiser hates the "Marseillaise" (says the "Pall Mall Gazette"). Since he came to the throne William 11. has never allowed the French national hymn to be played at his Court or at any State theatres or by any German naval or military band. If he entertained the French Ambassador at dinner the musicians used to be told to play the " Marche de St. Denis."
Mrs. Chatter: "Is Jones a well-in-formed man?" Mr. Chatter: " I should say so. His wife tells hi meverything." . The Housemaid: "There'll be grand doin's over at Mre. Caehley's nixfc wake. Her eldest daughter is out." The Cook: "Faith; that remomds me. Cashley's son ought to be comin' out soon. He's been in gaol over a year."
