The opening of the local Lawn Tennis Club to:k place on Saturday. Altbcugb the weather was not very promising a goad number turned out for the occasion. Some very interesting games ensued. Afternoon tea WBs provided by the ladies. In tbe evening a very successful dance was held in the local hall.
A gift rocial ii aid of the forthcoming bazaar in connection with the Presbyterian Church was held in the church last (Tuesday) evening.
Mr Harry Trail, of Hunua, enlisted last week and is gcing into camp at Trentham about the 12th November.
The residents at Paparimu started to Bend their cream to tbe Hunua creamery un Monday of last week. Mr J. Gamble i 3 the carter from Paparimu to Hunua.
