BOMBAY.
Un Friday evening last a very successful social and dance was held in the Bombay Hall to wind up the ruchre tournaments for the season. The prizes for the aggregate wins for the Be;son were won by Miss Gladys Wootien (a handsome salad bowl) and Mr E. Virce (a nice set of carvers). Mr Harry Sawyer, in a neat speech, presented thfi prizes to the winners, and he also announced that he had another very pleasant ceremony to perform. Three more of their "boys" were about to leave lor the Trentham trainins camp, viz., Messrs W. H. Richard*, Allan Smith and A. Cornthwaite, and on behalf of their many friends he presented each with a wristlet watch. Each recipient returned thanks lor the useful Ritt?. During the evening one ol the members of the telegraph camp gave comic items. Mr lorn Donovan supplied fie mu ic for t he dancing.
