COWS AFTER CALVING. After calving many cows fail to l< cleanse " properly and the contagious disease microbes contained in the dust and dirt alwajs blowing about settle on and tind an ideal breeding place in the beast. Once lodged the even-blood temperature of a cow soon develops these germs and infectious diseases make their appearance. Unless prompt measures are taken to obviate this trouble there is a big danger of the whole herd becoming infected. As a matter of fact it is really astonishing how quickly this can happen unless proper precautions are taken at once and the old adage "Prevention is better than cure " is an excellent one to follow immediately after a cow has calved. If you have not already a supply of "Bo Yita " Cleansing Drenches, procure some from either Messrs H. Dell and Son (Pukekohe), Messrs P. Henry & Son, Patumahoe, or Mr H. King (Waiuku), and administer it as directed on tho packet. Nothing equals "Bo Vita "as a Drench for cows after calving, because it cleanses thoroughly and (juickly in a perfectly natural manner and also purities the blood and acts as a safeguard against milk fover. It is not only a purgative, but also acts as a tonic and tonos up the digestive organs and revives the whole vitality of the cow. No other preparation is nearly so successful but it is necessary to remember that "Bo Vita" Drench is to be used after calving.
