THE ROLL OF HONOUR.

The Defence Department announce that Trooper Wil lam John Jolly, of the Auckhnd Mounted Hides*, son of Mrs Jolly, of Waiuku, was killed i:i ?ction on August 27th.

Yesterday's li.t of wounded includes the name of Trooper Charles Dromgool, who was serving with the Wellington Mounted Hifies. He is a son of Mr P. Dromgool, of Waiuku, and is 23 years of age. Prior to enlistment with the Fourth Reinforcement! he was employed as a law clerk in the office of Messrs Earl and Kent. He was a preminent oarsman, having been a member ot the Auckand Rowing Club.
