PATUMAHOE.

CONCERT. The Mauku I'resby terian Church held their annual concert in the Patumaboe Hall on Thursday evening last, before a crowded attendance. The Rev. S. Nixon presided. The Pukekhe choir very kindly journeyed out and rendered various items. A very interesting programme was gone through and most of the singers were encored, Miss Penman opened with a pianoforte solo. Mr H. Gribble the audience amused with his various humorous item?, and Mr Walker also got a gcod hearing for his naval fongs. A quartette, "The Dear Littte Shamrock of Ireland," was sung by Messrs Walker, Gribble, J. Huulston and W. Jones. A glee and the anthems ot (he Allies was rendcrei'. by the choir, and were very much appreciated. Miss Penman a.tcd a? accompanist. Songß were contributed by Mrs Keane, Mrs Pilkirgton, Miißes Harper, Rogers, E. Ramsay, ar.d Messrs Aspden, Walker a;d W.

Jones. At the conclusion of the concert the National Anthem was sung by the audience after which Mr Bell, on behalf of the Mauku Church, proposed a very hearty vote cf thanks to the members of the choir for their very pleasant entertainmen'. This was carrisd by acclamation. Before departing the visitors were entertained at Bupper by the Mauku Church Committee.
