LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.

Pukekohe Branch. At a meetiDg ct the Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League, bt Id on September 6tb, there were present: Misses Webster and Usher, Mesdames Webb, Baxter and McKae. Letters of thanks were read from the tecretary of the Auckland League for parcels c.f knitted comforts. It was reported that 65 helmets, 118 paiis sox, 22 cholera belt;, 27 pairs wristlets, and 11 scarves bad been sent since last meeting. The work accomplished by the ladits of the district during the past year was considered very satisfactory. Through their untiring energy the committee have furwarded - to Auckland: 670 pairs bought box, 70 paiis hand knitted sox, 303 pairs wristlets, 318 Balaclava helmets, 93 cholera belts, 42 mufflers, 100 flannel waistcoats, 300 face cloths, 200 housewives, 27 suits for soldiers' children, 5 feathsr pillows (donated), one pair of warm slippers (donated). A copy of the appeal for leather waistcoats for our "boys" at the front was read, and it was decided to cacvass for donation?. Accounts for £4 2s Id were passed for payment. A vote of sympathy was passed with Mrs A. E. Wilkinson and Mr and Mrs Lucas in their rtcent tad bereavements. DONATIONS. Mrs Runciman forwarded 10s on behalf of Miss Kenny and Mauku school children, who haver "denied themselves balls for their play that they might contribute to the Patriotic Fund. Donation to eock fund—Mrs Runciman 3s. Workers cf Balaclavas—Mrs W. Blake, Mrs Kimber, 4 each; Miss Haitilin, 2; Mrs l'apesch, Mrs Webster, Mies M. Dobson, Miss P. Dobson, Miss Fitness, Mrs Sorton, Miss V. Kimber, Miss A. Rogers, Mrs C. K. Nelson, Misd E. Frost, Miss W. Webster, one each. Cholera belts—Mrs Baxtei, 4; Mrs Kimber, Mrs Crum, Mrs Jaguiscb, 3 each; Mrs Horton, Miss Potter (Albany), Miss W. Webstar, Ibelma Long, Mrs Hooey, Mrs Woollett, Miss Webster, one each. Wristlets Mrs Cowpertu*aite (Mt. Eden), 8 pairs; Mrs Boulcott, 2 pairs. Scarves—Mr J. Honejford, Mrs Hughes, Miss F. Dobson, 1 each. Socks— Mis Dand, 2 pairs; Mrs Dickson, Mrs Feming, one pair each.
