At the last meeting of the Library Committee is was decided that an effoitbe irade to secure about one hundred subscribers at £1 a yiar, prior to leasing the rooms. Each member of the corrmitt c is to he provided with a book in which to enter the nanus of those willing to join the schnne, aid then the rooms will be leased anJ lurched Without delay. Ih proposal to erect a memorial pulpit ia Holy Trinity Chu-.ch, Waiuku, in hdliour ot Private Pjckard, who was once a member ot the church here, is to Btand over for the present. It is telt by m: ny people that a Eui'abls memorial to al! the men from this c istrlct should be erected when the war is over.
