There was a good representative attendance ot dairy suppliers at a meeting held in the Public Hall on Thursday last on the occasion of a visit from Mr W. Goodfellow, Managing Director of the Waikato Co operative Dairy Company, Limited. Mi Goodfellow gave an address, and ottered if a sufficient supply of creum for tis Company was promised to provide a receiving depot at the wharf. No decision, however, was come to, the majority expressing their desire not to make any change from existing arrangements pending a meeting to be held in the course of the next few days to be addressed by Mr H. E. Pacey, Managing. Director of the New Zealand Dairy Association. Surprise parties have been the order of the day (or rather the evening) of late and stversl enjoyable visits have been paid to the residences of different settiere. Local farms are still changing hands and good prices are being obtained. AmoDg tho most recent changes have been Mis Owen's and Mr Wetherall's properties. Tho new owner of the lattor farm intends to avail himself of its capabilities by running it on a large scale for dairying. The recontly erected public hall is regarded as a great boon to the district and its lettings are numerous, both for meetings and social gatherings. . ' The advent of spring has brought about a big improvement iu the roads local'y and several motor cars now frequently visit the district.
