Cruel and cyhtematie cases of pois oning valuable dogs have been in progress during the past few weeks and although the polico have the matter in hand no cluo as to how members of the canine family aro meeting their fato is to hand. Mr Dynes Fulton is one of those who has lost a valuable dog in the manner stated. The sum of £ls, tho results of tho sale of a bullock douatod by Mr W. Mo B. Peacock, has been handed to Mr A. H. Tapper, secretary of tho Hospital Ship Fund. OUANGK BLOSSOMS. UEISBLE—THOMAS. Considerable interest was attached tu the wedding that took rlace on Wednesday last at the residence of the bride's parents «t I'apatoetoe, the contracting parties being Mr William Double, eon of Mr W. J. Deeble, of Tuakau, and Miss Thomas, a late resident of Tuakau. The Rev. G. Fro.t, of Fukekohe, performed the ceremony. The bride locked charming in a liandBome cl ess of ere in crepe dc chine, wiili the customary veil and oranKC blossoms. Mr Bert Mayall acted as best man. The wedding breakfast was a most Bumptuocs repast. Various toasts were horourcd, the Kev. G. Frost propo ing the health of the "Bride and Bridegroom," Mr Cobbald autmittirg "The Ladies," etc. Tho pre;; uts were ot a huadsome and numerous character.
