PAPAKURA.

There was a large attendance at the usual monthly meeting of the Band of Hope, held fn the Parish Hall last week, and a bright entertainment, consisting of songs, recitations and dialogues, was given by children, coached for the occassion by the Misses Olphert and Wallace, the latter acting as accompanist. The Rev Mr Mann, of Birkenhead, gave an interesting lecture on Temperance and a reading on Women's Christian Temperance. Mrs Brodie. was well received.
