Members of the Pukekohe National Reserve are notified that a general meeting of members is to be held on Wednesday next at 8 pm. iu the Masonic Hall.

Members of the Pukekohe branch of the. farmers' Union are requested to note that a nretmg cf the branch is to be held on Thursday evening next at 8 o'clock in the Borough Ccuneil Chambers.

In order that children will not be denied the opportunity of viewing the fine educational film "London by Day and Night," the Lyceum management are making a special charge of threepence each tor Wednesday night only.

An important clearing sale is to be carried out on Thursday next by Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons on the farm at Whangarata belonging to Mr J. D. Johns, who has disposed ot the property. Particulars will be foutd in an advt. in this Lsjp.

At the Pukekohe Police Court on Saturday last, before Messrs C. K. Lawrie and C. Roadley, J.P.'s, a labourer, named Edward Lavelle, made his fourth appearance within the last six months on another charge of insobriety. The accused wai convicted and prohibits. A "First Offender" was callei upon to pay a fine ot 5s for similar over-indulgence on the previous evening.

If preliminary work has its reward the Spring Flower Show, tto be held in the I'remier Hall on Thursday and Friday next, under the auspices cf the Pukekohe Presbyterian Church, should prove a brilliant success, as there is every indication cf it so doing. Jn his rapacity as secretary, Mr James Roulston is displaying commendable activity and his efforts arc being well supported by an energetic committee. Entries clo3c to-night, and all tactions are likely to be well patronised. A musical programme will afford an additional attraction both evenings.
