ARARIMU.
Mr Pacey, mauaging director of the New Zealand Dairy Association, paid a visit to the district on Saturday, 14th inst., and addressed a meeting of the suppliers in tbe Valley School. He referred in detail to the operations of the Association during the past successful season, and predicted equally good results for the coming season, provided regular shipping accommodation can be secured. Judging by the milk supply at the local factory thus early, the present year promises to be a record one. One of our local lads, Mr Frank Keane, left for Wellington on the 19th inst. to take up a position in the office of the Department of Internal Affairs. The appointment is the outcome of his success at the Christmas Civil Service examination. He was educated at the Ararimu Public School, and his achievements show that a good teacher and a bright boy, even at a country school, can hold their own amongst the best.
