The object and purport of the By-Laws are to regulate ' control or license within the Town ' District of Tuakau the following 1 matters, and to provide fur penally ties for the breach of any of these By-Laws. ' The By-Laws are divided into . fmrteen parts numbered 1 to 14 » inclusive, each cf which part is divided into sections or sub- , sections, as fellows:— '> PART I. (a) Interpretation of meaning of [ word 3 and phrases contained in the By-Laws. (b) Offences and Penalties. PART 11. In respect of Streets and the user thereof and encroachments tn*r;on and penalties fjr breaches thereunder. PART 111. General provisions for the good rule and conduct of the district. PART IV. In re sDoct of prevention of fire. PART V. In respect of buildings for public meetings, amusements, entertainments, etcetera, and the legist cation und licensing thereof and the payment of fees in respect of the same. PART VI. Nuisances. PAKT VII. Licensed carriages, carts, and drivers having particular reference to licensed cart?, provisions as to breadth of tyres of wheels of licensed and unlicensed vehicles and provisions as to heavy traffic. PAKT VIII. In respect of pedlars and hawkers, Belling at street cornets, weighing machines, etcete'B, license fee, etcetera. PARr. IX. In respect of licensed lodging houses and fees payable therefor. PART X. Dwelling sites and buildiog ByLaws dealing particularly with dwelling site area*, air spaces, alterations to buildings, definition ot new house, definition of site, site formation, approval of plans, concrete foundations, building material, ventilation, insanitary material, f.es for building petmits and forms ot permits. PART XI. Sanitary—Burial ot night-soil and mode ot burial sawage tank, water closets and privies, fanitary control, ashpits, prevention of nuisances hereunder and pig keeping. PART XII. In respect of Billiard Rooms and their registration and keep and licensing thereof. PAKT XIII. Regulating and controlling the sale ot milk and fcod and the issuing of milk vending licenses and control of dairies. PART XIV. Slaughterhouses and registration and control of same. A copy of the proposed By-Laws is deposited at the office of the Buard at Tuakau and will be open to the inspection of the public during office hours from this date to th 3 said seventh day of September, 1915. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of the "Town Board's Act," 1908 and all other Acts and powers, thereto enabling it, the Tuakau Town Board will be at its meeting to be held on the 7th day of September, 1915, at the Office of the Board, at Tuakau, strike and levy a General Bate of l.jd in the pound upon the Capital value of all the rateable properties within the boundaries of the Tuakau Town District for the period commencing the Ist day of Apiil, 1915, and ending the 31st day of March, 1916, such rates to be due' and payable to the Collector in one instalment, at the Office of the Board, Tuakau, on and after the 7th day of September, 1915. The Valuation 801 l may be seen at the Board's Office during Office hours. And further, the Several Special Rates and the Hospital and Charitable Aid rate of one sixth of a penny in the £ over the Tuakau Town District that are payable by the ratepayers to the Franklin County Council will be collected on its behalf at the same time and place by the Tuakau Town Board acting for and under authority from the said Council. Rates are payable on or before December 31st, 1915. 10 per cent, will be added to all rates unpaid after that date. The estimated expenditure of the Board for the ensuing 12 months on roads in the Tuakau Town Board's District upkeep and maintenance and on lighting is £.IOO. ALBERT IT.
