CHANGING HANDS.
Waiuku Kentish Hotel. Mr R. T. Reid's term as proprietor ot the Kentish Hotel, at Waiuku, has evidently been well appreciated by residents judging by the enthusisstic "send-otf" he received just before closing time last Saturday night. "All hands" evidently wanted to make speeches, and those who did to spoke in high terms of Mr Reid as a citizen and as proprietor of the hotel. Reference was made to the support Mr Reid hsd always given to all forms of spott, and to his good work as chairman of the Town Board. In returning thanks, Mr Reid said that in the three years and two months he had been in the house he bad fimnd the Waiuku "boys" good sports—he did not think there were any better anywhere. He introduced to them his successor, Mr E. K. Morrison, and 1 aaked for him the same kindly consideration and support as had been accorded to himself. Those present gave Mr Morrison u good reception, for which he returned thanks, and the health of the uutgoing and jncommg landlords were honoured aQthusiasicall;. Although leaving the hotel, Mr and Mrs Reid are not departing from the district, but will continue to resile In the vicinity of Waiuku.
