A meeting of the Council of the abjve organisation was held on Monday evening last, Mr K. F. Webster, president, being in the chair. lhe uepartment of Agriculture, Industries and Commerce forwarded a circular letter ttating that arrangements had been for the publication of a list"of Biitish manufacturers of poods that were formerly supplied from Germany and that tbe Department would bo pleased to give advice accordingly for any particular line of trade. The sam 3 Department advised that an honorary representative had been appointed to act in India and would report on trade matters in that country for tbe information of New Zealand pnducers. It was resolved to take steps towards securing the institution of the rural mail delivery system in the t'ukekohe district. Other matters discusjed will be found under our Local ai.d General column.
