MEETING OF STOCK COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Central Committee of the Breeders' and Grazieri' branch of the Farmers' Union was held in the Union's Kooms at Albert street, Auckland, on Tuesday afternoon. There were present Major Lusk, in the chair, Messrs Koss, Te Kauwhata; Makgill, Auckland; Murphy, Tamaki; Warin, Taupiri; and Wily, Muaku. Tbe chairman reported the result of the meeting at Hamilton, and the deputation to the Prime Minis ter, of which he had been a member. Keports of both have already appeared. In view of the conflicting reports that have appeared in the Presi as to tbe amount of shipping space for frozen meat available for this month and August for Auckland, it was resolved to obtain authoritative information and furnish reports to members. The meeting was informed by Mr Makgill, who is a director of the Farmers' Freezing Company, that in the allocation of space in tba works to be made to-day, ther# will ba none available except fcr shareholders. It was resolved to ask members of the Committee to do what they could to induce farmers to join the branch, in the hope of i creasing the membership.
