BUCKLAND.
A public meeting was calicd by Mr J. Wylie, chair ran ol ihe Public Hall Trustees, to fill the vacancy caused by the departure from the district i f Mr H. Driver. Mr Wylis eulogised the services of the late trustee, and Mr Nerl was elected to till the vacancy.
A meeting promoted, by the Bucklatd b anch of the Farmers' Union is to be h' Id in the Buckland Hall on Satu:day eveing next to discuss tha problems of the rabbit ["pest. Inspector Ro.tati is to attend and give advice.
