FRANKLIN LICENSING COMMITTEE.

Annual Meeting.

The annual meeting of the Franklin Licensing Committee was held on Thursday last at Pukekohe, Mr F. V. Frazer, ti11.., presiding, the other members present being Messrs C. K. Lawrie, C. Motion, J. D. Chalmers, A. E. Hattaway and Win. Richardson. TRANSFER.

A transfer of the license nf the Globe Hotel, Papakura, to Mrs Isabella Smith was granted.

"LICENSES RENEWED

The licecsss of the Pukekohe Hotel, I'ukekohe; Kentish Hotel, Waiuku; Bay View Hotel, Mirsnda; Marine Hotel, Howick; Fapakura Hotel, Fapakura; and Railway Hotel, Drury, were renewed. In regard to the Kentish Hotel, Waiuku, the licensee (Mr Reid) applied for permission to dispense with the stabling accommodation, the same being too near the house and sufficient stabling accommodation being otherwise forthcoming in the tewnsbip.—The application was acceded to. RENEWAL ADJOURNED. In the caEe of the Mauku Hotel, Fatumahoe, the renewal of the license was adjourned unlil the Committee's meeting in September, pending structural improvements or alterations being effect.d to the building.
