PROPOSED CHEESE FACTORY
A meeting of Aka Aka dairy farmers interested in cheese manufacture took place last Wednesday. Tbe result of the canvass showed that 13 suppliers owning about 800 cows, had signed in favour of cheese and 25 suppliers owning 912 cows did not sign. It was thought, however, that some of the latter would join if a cheese factory was started. After discussion it was decided to go in for cheese manufacture and to invite Mr Pacey, of the New Zealand Dairy Association, to attend a meeting and to give full details of what shares each suDplier would have to take up in order to launch a cheese factory.
