PUKEKOHE GOLF CLUB.
The season was opened on Saturday when about 25 members, put in an appearance.
The coures was declared open by Dr C. H. Wake, vice-president, in the absence of Mr James Roulston, the president. Mr Bockett, captain, commenced hostilities bv driving the first ball. The mixed foursome competition was won by Miss BilkeyJ and Corbett with a nett score of 48. Following are the best cards returnedMisa Bilkey and H. Corbett, gross score 58, handicap 10, uctt score 48; Mrs Motion and W. P. Hopkins, 69, 15, 54; Mrß Bayly and L. J. Bayly, 75, 17A, 57*; Miss Barter and H. H. O'Loughlen, 73, 15, 58: Miss Shipherd and H. Bockctt. 79, 15, 64; MiBS Coombes and Dr C. H, Wake, 95, 24, 71; Miss Wily and N. T. Bilkey. 99, 25, 74.
