PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Waiuku branch of the Pakuranga Hunt Club took place at the Kentish Hotel, Waiuku, last Thursday evening, Mr K. T. Keid, master, presiding. The secretary, Mr C. J. Hosking, presented the annual report and balance sheet, which was approved. The report showed that during the past season the hounds had visited the district eight times. On six of these visits hunting was of a most enjoyable order. One day was rendered unpleasant by wet weather and on the other day the club was unfortunate in not getting on good country. On the whole it was considered that an exceptionally gcod season had been experienced. The membership had shewn an increase dcring the season, but owing to the increased subsidy to te forwarded to Auckland more members were necessary. For the coming season the irospects were regarded as very ' .gnl, and several persons had mtimatei their intention to join. A credit balance of £6 8s was shown, which was considered satiaI factory. i ELECTION OF OFFICERS.

UfiiciaJs for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Master, Mr R. T. Ktid; Deputy-Madter, Mr G. H. Selby; secretary, Mr C. J. Hoßking; committee, Rev Father Skinner, Dr (J. E. Howden, Messrs H. Garland, W Smith, S. R. Mason, A Bulte, H Jeffries, P. Townßend, J. Dovell, Eber Barriball, E. Henry, R. J. Fenwick, U. Makgill, E. Rudge, A. May, junr., G. Curric, E. T. Bint, L. F. Shaktipear, F. Macdonld, A. M. harriball. and T. McGowan. THE OPENING RUN. Members freely expressed the opinion that the club should arrange for tho hounds again for the forthcoming oeasun, and it was decided that headquarters ehould be written to immediately. It was hoped that the opening date would be arranged for immediately.
