WAIAU PA.

A good deal of satisfaction is be.ng expressed by the young people of the district at seeing a start made on tne new public hall, which the builder, Mr J. Nicolson, hope? to have finished in about fcur weeks. There ii every probability cf many enjoyabls evenings being spent there during the winter nniiths, as the committee intend arranging a series of euchre parties and dances.

It is understood that many district dairy herds are to be increased, which will thus make our supply to the creamery next season considerably larger. The recent rains have been vcy beneficial to the pastures, thus keepirg the milking going. On the whole the a ason nan been very satisfactory.
