At the meeting of the Fravkiin County Council on Thursday last the County Engineer reported as follows:--

Land Fund Revenue —On the loth of March 1 drew up a scheme for the expenditure of acciued "thirds" up to the uOth September, 1914, and forwarded the tame to the Lands Department at Auckland. The total emount of the accrued "thirds' are £256 133. This amount ii grouped for expeediture orj eleven different roads.

Stone C'uslung Plant.—The plant since commencing ops rations has been engaged crushing 500 cubic yards on th: Waiuku-C'taua rjfcd; 800 cubic yards at Otaua landing; 100 cubic yauls at Aka Aka fandi-ig, and 250 cubic yards on the Waiuku Aka Aka road. The plant is now engaged crushing on the WaiukuDrury road and VYaiukuI'ukekohe load. Tuakau to Waikato River Bridge Rchd —An iii9p?ction was made of the sbove rosel by the committee appointed by your Council and it was ckciCed that the Rasrlan County shiuld be asked to contribute half the cost of it aintenance of the road and coistruc'.ion of culverts, etc., between V\e Tuakau town boundary and the Waikato river bridge, the approximate distance being two and a-na!f miles.

The report was adopted and it was resolved to ask th 3 Raghn County Council to contribute as suggested by tie Engineer towards the boundary read at Tuakau ard in 'he matte; of the ioad at Whangarata (referred to in the report), Cr Wilcox and the engineer were authorised to effect repairs it any balance vt grant money waa available.
