End of the " Dresden." (By Telegraph. This Afternoon. The High Commissioner reports: On Sunday morning the cruisers Glasgow, Orama and Kent caught the German warship •' Dresden " near Juan Fernandez South Pacific). After live minutes engagement the " Dresden " hauled dowu her colours, displaying a white Hag. Sho was much damaged and on fire. Finally her magazines exploded and she sank. The ollicers and new were saved. There were no British casualties or damage.
