The surveying and sub-dividing cf the Government gum reserve, of 1800 acres, in the Opaheke survey district, by the Government, is being pushed along rapidly. Already two roads have been surveyed through the block, one rojd running through the Maramarua district and joining the Werenga road and the other joining a branch of the road leading to Miranda. The block is being cut into piopertie3 ranging from 25 acres to 200 acres, suitable frr fruit fa'ming ar.d milking pu:pores. The wo k shoull be .finish d within the course of abut two month".
