RAMA RAMA.
A farewell social was tendered to Mr E. ("Teddy") Black on Friday evening last, on the eve of his departure from the district after a residence of five or six years. Mr Black was extremely popular and helped in every possible way to assist the welfare of the district. There was a large attendance, fully 40 couples being present, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The music was supplied by Miss Ivy Mackerzie (piano) and Mr A. Forbes (violin). Extras were played by Miss Wright and Mr Pellett. During the evening Mr D. Maher, on behalf of those present, presented Mr Black with a dressing case, at the pame time expressing that he should be leaving the district, and wishing him every success. Mr Black suitably redied The committee, with Mr D. Mackenie as sectetary, are to be congiatulated upon the success of the function. The catering was in the hands of Mr J. Rug?, and was well up to his usual standard, which says a lot. Mr D Mackenzie officiated as M.C.
