PUKEKOHE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The usual monthly raeetiog of the Pukekohe istrict High School was held on Monday of last week. The Education Board advised that Miss E. M. Rogers would be attached to the Pukekohe School as from the 1 t fe'oruary, in place of Misa Barker. The name of Miss Edith N. Hewlett was submitted by the Board as an additional aseistant teacher, nnd the appointment will be made at an early dale. Miss Hazel M. Lace is at present dischargirg the dutieß of the additional assistant teacher, which appointment is being mada on account of the increased attendance at the School. The resignation of Mr W. C. Cargill as member .and chairman of the Committee was received with general regret, and a resolution was passed in acknowledgment of his generous serviceu to the School and district, A report regarding the conveniences at the school was received from the headteacher, and it was agreed to writ-2 to On Board pointing out the: inadequacy of accommodation provided foi the scholars and recommending an early consideration for improvement.
