LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.

At a meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League, held on Monday of last week, there were present:—Misses Webster, Townson and Usher, Mesdames Webb and Hogan.

A letter of thanks was read from the secretary of the Ladies' Committee of the Auckland Patriotic League, for parcel of new clothing which was distributed as Christmas Kilts to the soldiers' children. A letter from Mrs Baxter was read, consenting to become a member of the League after the Franklin Show, and was unanimously elected on that understanding.

It was decided to apply to the Patriotic Commitee for balance of money allotted for use of Lady Liverpool League. Accounts amounting to £2 18s lUd were psssed for payment. The chairwoman reported having sent the parcel of clothing for soldiers' children en 23rd December, and desires to thank the ladies for making the clothing at such short notice. A further contribution of cholera belts and mits were posted on 14th January. Advice was received from Auckland that Balaclava caps, sox t»nd cholera belts were still urgently needed. The chairwoman, Miss Webster, will be pleased to supply wool to any one willing to assist oi application to her or any member of the committee. ,

The following ladies made clothing:—Tunic suits, Miss Evitt (Auckland), Mrs D. Blake, Mrs Bay Miller, Misses Webster, one each; girls' dresses, Mrs J. Mcßae three, Mrs Jaguisch, Mrs P. Hogan, Mrs Jeffaries, Mrs Finlay two each, Mrs M. Bogan, Mrs Moore, Miss Bowden, Mrs Barber, Mrs B. Andrew, one each; Mrs Motion one dress and donatad a pinafore, 'varsity suits, Miss P. Long, Mrs Buchan, Miss Mclntyre, Miss Usher, Mrs Russell (Harris street), one each; Workers of cholera belts, heavy weight: Mrs J. Harper, Mrs J. McKae, Mrs Webb, Miss W. Webster, Mrs Crum, one each; Mrs Brownlee and Mrs Oarrell, two each; Mrs Cowpertbwaite, four. Light weight: Mrs Boulcott, one. Wristlets: Miss Hamlin, two pairs; Mrs Papesch and Mrs Webster, one pair each.
