THE RAILWAY.
Mr A. M. Barriball received word the other day trora the Prime Miuister that the requests re provisions being trade for a siding on the Waiuku railway for the Waiuku dairy factory had been acceded to by the Department, and that the siding would be ready by the time the factory was in operation. As the dairy factory is expected to be under construction shortly, the rumours of a start being made on the railway works at Waiuku end in the near tuture seem likely of realisation, and the Prime Minister's note strongly supports such being the case. It is understood that Mr Barnball is now in communication with Mr Massey urging the establishment of a flag station near the factory site, which would prove a great convenience for settlers in the Drury road vicinity, and wculd be about a mile distant from the Waiuku station.
