The management of the above pictures continue to keep abreast of the times and spare no effort to give the public the best and latest productions. The screening of the Auckland Cup on Wednesday night last shows that Pukekohe is better catered for than many larger towns, who will have to await their turn for this film. A very fine programme has been arranged for to-morrow night, including a film from the seat of war showing the evacuation of Ghent and Ostend, which is a picture of particular interest to all. Another feature of the evening will be the singing of one of the latest patriotic songs, " The Soldier," the chorus of which will be shown on the sheet and the audience invited to join in. The varied excellent programme to be screened is headed by a sensational drama entitled "When Lions Escape," containing a fine dramatic story and concluding with a desperate fight with lions.
