The first match of the handicap novices bowling competition was played on the Pukekohe bowling green on Thursday evening when E. Fitness, receiving a handicap of two points, won from E. Spiers (scratch) by 24 to 12. A ,f Cock o' the Walk " challenge match last week resulted in the holder Mr C. K Lawrie being defeated by J. Roulston (challenger) by 21 to 14.
