AUCKLAND MARKET REPORT.
Mr J. Jones, auctioneer, Victoria and Lome streets, Auckland, reports :—Business on the local market this week has beep very good and a large volume of business has been done. Values in potatoes and poultry have slightly lowered. 3 Old ducks are not in much demand and prices are low. Good roosters are in strong demand. There has been a large supply of fruit this week and lines have been cleared. Peaches are in much better demand and prices are much firmer. We quote : Poultry—Hens, Is od to 2s Gd ; ducks, young Is 8d to 2s od, old Is to Is 3d; roosters, prime up to Is 9d, good 2s lid to 3sßd, small Is 6d to 2s; turkeys, hens 3s 9d to ss, gobblers 7s to 'Js. Pigs, 7s to 12s !>d.
Farm produce—Potatoes £0 JUs to £7 10b, others £5 to £6 ; onions, 7s 6d to 9s 6d.
Dairy produce-^-Butter, 'Jdto lod; eggs, Is 3d; cheese, 7d to 7£d; hams, 'Jdto lOd; aides, lid to 9id; lard, 6d ; honey, bulk, 2id. to 3Ad. Fruit—Peaches, good -Js to Is < ; d, others 2s to 2s <Jd ; plums, Burbanks Is to Is 10d, some choice lota 2a to 2s 9d; pears, 2s to 2s 9d 1 lemons, bushel cases, 8s 'Jd to 13s; tomatoes, 3s 6d to 6s 9d; English plums, 2s to 3a 6d; apples, dessert, choice 6s to 78, good 4s 6d to ss, cookers 3s 9d to 6s; nectarines, 2s 6d to ss; apricots, 3s to 9s 6d; grapem, lOd to Is 3d.
