Air W. Y. Mr Kirkman is a dairyman of wide experience, his former appointments having included the management of the large butter factory at Frankton Junction which was, erected by Messrs Ambury, English and Go. and HUbscquently sold to the New Zealand Dairy Association, Mr Kirkman having served there under both companies. About four years since Mr Kirkman assumed the management of the Stratford Dairy Company's factory at Taranaki, and while under bis control the quality of the butter which was produced at such factory showed marked improvement. Mr Kirkman succeeded during his term at Stratford in winning many of the prizes which are most coveted by the dairymen in New Zealand. Last winter Mr Kirkman resumed his connection with the New Zealand Dairy Association, and during the early months of the present season bas done some important organising work which bas givea him an intimate knowbdge of the districts from which the Pukekohe factory cream supply is drawn. The New Zealand Dairy Association is to be congratulated on having a man of such experience and ability to place in the difficult and responsible position which was so long and so ably tilled by the late Mr Sydney Morria.
