PUNI.
A basket social in aid of the Belgian Relief Fund is to be held in Puni School on Friday next under the presidency of the Mayor of Pukekohe (Mr C. K. Lawrie). Mr W. T. Dazeley is undertaking the secretarial duties and will be glad to receive donations and contributions in connection with the event. A novel attraction will form part of the] proceedings, whereby the baskets given by the ladies will be put up for auction and tbe gentlemen buyer will secure the company of the respective fair donor at supper. Musical items by local residents and visitors will be included in the programme and card games will be provided for nondancers. Tickets may be obtained from mambera of the committee or at the doors.
