Local Successes,
The following wcra among the local exhibitors who secured awards at tin Auckland Agricultural Show last week, viz. : Mr Eber Biirriball, Waluku, championships in the sheep class.-* fur Lincoln ewe, English Leicester ewe, Shropshire ram and Shropshire ewe; in the Lincoln section first for ram 30 months and over, second for ewe 30 months and over suckling lamb, and first for ewe under 18 months; in bouthdownr, first and second for ram under 18 months; in Sbropshires, first and second for ram under 18 months, first and eccond for ewe under 30 months and over, first and second for ewo under 18 months, first for pen pf two ewes under IP months; and in English Leicesters, first and second for ewo undrr 18 months, and first for pen of 2 ewes any age, siKk'ing Ismbs,
Mr C. T. Barriball, Wmuku: A championship for Lincoln ram, first and tt.ird for Lincoln ram over 18 months and under HO months, first and second fjr Lincoln r: m under 1H months ami lire! lo Lincoln ewe 30 months am! oar, suckling lambs, second for Lincoln ewej under 18 months, first and second for Lincoln ewe 18 moi. a and under 30 months, suckling lamb, second for pen of two Lincoln ewes, any age, suckling lamb, and second for pen of two Lincoln ewes under 18 months.
Mr W. Smeed, Whangnrata,' second in the 3-year-old entire horse section for Baron Jamieson. j Mr W. K. Lawton, Waiuku, in the Ayrshire cattle s'etion won tint and reserve champion bull two veara; first for cow or heifer three year?, in calf (Colleen Bawn), third for heifer two yearj (Duchess), and third for vearling heifer. Mr C. A. Willis, Fukekohe, won the championship for dairy cow, all breeds, with his Jersey exhibit "Snow Bird," who was also champion JersHy cow or heifer, three years, in nililc. The same owner's "Snow Queen's Fancy" was reserve champion for Jersey heifer and first for heifer, two years, in milk. Mr Willis also won first for yearling bull (Black Swan), second for 3-year-old bull (Loyalty of Meadow Bank), second for cow or beifer, three years, in milk (Snow Girl;, Hicond for yearling heifer (Swan Witch), and he also secured with Snjw Bird, Snow Girl, and Snow Qdeen's Fancy the Jersey breeders' trophy for the best three cows in milk.
Mr D. Makgtll's (Waiuku) Patch was first for wire jumping, second for light-weight hunter, and third in class for cavalry purposes, and v.h.c. for qualified hunter, Beason 1914.
Mr J. Blake's Prince was second for horse suitable for farm work.
In the long jump for horses, Mr K. E. Buchanan's (Waiuku Mono* plane secured first prize by jumping a distance of 28 feet, the same being easily a record for the show.
