THE GENERAL ELECTION.
Franklin and Raglan Nominations.
Nominations for candidates for the forthcoming General Election close:! yesterday (Monday). For the Franklin Electorate the Right. Hot,. W. F. Massey and Mr A. G. C. Glass were duly nominated. The nomination papers for Mr Maaaey were signed by Messrs A. M. Barriball (farmer, Waiuku), C. K. Lanrie (agent, Pukekohe), John Todd (tailor, Otahuhu). and John Wjllie (farmer, Papntoetoe). Mr Glass's nominators were Messrs Harry King (Waiuku) and J. D. Chalmeis (Glenbrook).
In the Uaglau Electorate,-Messrs John Furniss (Social Democrat), W. D. Thompson (Liberal) were both nominated in opposition to Mr R. F. Bollard, the retiring Government member.
The lists of the different polling booths for the Franklin and Raglad Electorates will be found in our advertising columns. The polling stations fur Franklin number 47-three in excess of the total three years ago. Pukekohe this year will have an additional booth, namely, at the Oddfellows* Hall, as well as the principal booth at tha Courthouse, and th" other two new booths will be at Karaka and Moumoukai respectively.
