THE PUKEKOHE RIDING
In cjnnection with the election of two representatives for the Pukekohe on the Fianklin County Council we trust that the electors will rot losa sight of the conditions ai they exist. At last election two representatives wen r(turned from Pukekohe Eibt, acd although both Cr Wilcox and LT Dynes Fulton 1 were absolutely fair to all parts of the riding neither of them eould give as much attention as he desired to the western side of the riding. In Tuesday's " rimes'' a nctilication was made that the Pukekohe riding is to Le divid;d into two ridings, ( making Pukekohe Hast and Pukekohe West. Since the election is taking place prior l.» the division, we suggest that all electors in Pukekohe West should roll up and
record their vots« in favour of
their candidate, otherwise after the division is made Pukekohe West may find itself without any representative at all on the County Council. On the other hand, Pukekohe East will, we feel sure, recognise that it would be only a fair thing that of the two *epresentatives for the undivided riding one should be resident of Pukekobe East and the other of Pukekobe West. It was because of our belief In the fairness nf the general body of ratepayers that w: expressed the opinion that Mecsis Woods and Wilcox would be the representatives of the Pukekobe riding on the next County Council.
