THE FRANKLIN SHOW.
Ai the last meeting of the committee of tho Franklin A. and P. Society it was unanimously agro?d to proceed with next February's Show as usual. The expectation was freely expressed that exhibitors would come forward with their usual readiness and help the committee in every way. There was a discussion about the pri/.e money, but the balance of opinion was that the war did not at present call for auy radical change in the Society's policy of generous prizegiving. One contribution to the debate as to whether the Show would come out all right financially was breezy and practical: Mr J. Potter with gay sincerity suggested that each member of the committee should give £•">, that some interest dues should be remitted, and that the advertising should be done free. If the circumstances when they arise demand auy such self-sacrifice we believe that it will cheerfully bo made. Meanwhile the Show is to go on. It will be held as usual and, it is expected, for the lust time on the old Showground.
