Aka Aka Social.
A credit balance of £1 2s GJ from tli2 Aka Aka ladies' social has been paid over to the District Patriotic Fund. Our Aka Aka correspondent writes that the Aka Aka hall committee's social on behalf of the Patriotic Fund realised £7 7a (id. About 30 couples attended and all had a good time. The hall was very tastefully decorated tor the occasion, there being a kooil display of patriotic Hags and greenery, which included evergreens, fungas, etc. The Hoar was in capital order and dancing went really well to the line music supplied by Mr W. Deed and Miss Williams. An excellent supper was provided by the ladies, the hall committee expressing high appreciation cf the manner in which the ladies responded. The committee were much indebted to Mr Dunn for the display of Hags. The M.'sC. were Messrs William Louden and frank Henfling. An enjoyable evening was spent by all. The offertories at Waiuku Anglican Church on .Sunday, winch were for the British, Irish, Belgian and lJuntly distress funds, realised £S Hs Bd, one quarter being devoted to each.
