DRURY.
SALE OF WORK.
A very successful sale of work was held ia the Public hall, Drury, on Friday, October 2nd, by the Young Women's Bible Class. The sale was opened at 2.30 p.m. by the Rev. Madill to a large audience.
During the afternoon the ladies were especially busy making their purchases. The doors were closed at 5 V- m -' DUt re-opened again at 7 p.m. At the evening sale the gentlemen turned up in good numbers, as well as the ladies. BJusical items were very efficiently rendered by Mrs Murray, both afternoon and evening. The takings amounted to £25 14s, which goes to missions in connection with the Presbyterian
I Church. The success achieved reflects great credit on the young wunen of the Bible Class, who for some time past have devotei their time and talent to such good purpose.
I EUCHRE PARTY, The fortnightly euchre and dance eld on Tuesday evening was a big uccess as usual. The ladies' first prize, a very fine n d handsomely-decorated cake, ,resented by the telegraph men, /as won by Miss Flossy Ciirdwood. diss Norah Girdwood secured the econd prize. Mr J. Blake carried ff the men's rirßt, and Mr Stcen iccond.
