QUARRY ACCIDENT. A ratlior sorioua accident befel Mr C. Collins on Monday whilst working with his mute, Mr C. Booker, in Lapwood's ijuarfy adjoining tho river. The injured man was examined by Dr Cheesman who, aftor relieving tho patient as much ui possible, ordered his removal to tho Hamilton hospital. As far as I could gather Collins' worst injury was udislocated thigh, although he was also badly bruised and otherwise knocked about. RUNAWAY. A motor cycle was responsible fur a smish-up to a horn* and belonging to the Rev. Buttorworth. It appears that Mr Buttorworth left tho horse, usually a very nuiot animal, standing on tho road in front of tho Manse for a moment only. The animal, becoming frightened, made oil'. The gig suilered lather soveroly but tho horse escaped.
