The Tuakau brass hand journoyed to Mercur on Sunday, August fitli. Although tho weather was not at it* best a largo crowd had assembled on the hank ol tho Waikato river, where some very nice selections were played under the leadership of Mr Hall, bandmaster. Afier concluding thoir programme the band members were kindly entertained at Mr Pickett's, where a very onjoyablo tea was partaken of. Wlion leaving three hearty cheers were givon for Mr Pickett.
