THE PRICE OF BREAD In view of the various rumours that are afloat wc wish to assure our numerous customers that for the time being we have no intention cf raising tho price of bread. Having a large quantity of flour in stock prior to the outbreak of the war we have reserved a large proportion of this for our bakery business ; and as long as it lasts the price of bread will remain as at present. If, when we require more flour the price shows a substantial increase we shall then, and then only, consider tho question of raising tho price of bread. FRANK PERKINS AND CO Genera! THE AUCTION ERROR. lie was a good average farmer intelligent and alert, and called with a friend who wanted to inspect our stock. After a brief look round he said : " Well, I certainly lost money by not inspecting your stock before I went to the sale yesterday. The piiee you are asking for this article is two pounds less than I gave for one not nearly so suitable for iny purpose. I made up my mind to call and neglected to do so and now I see my mistake." This is a mistako too often made. WHY ? Take notice of our word to you. First: We don't claim that we can always give you a better bargain than you may somelimes get at an auction sale. Second : We do claim that it costs nothing to inspect our large stock of new and second hand vehicles. That it is worth inspecting. That we make all visitors welcome ; are pleased when you buy but take no umbrage when you don't. That when you have seen what we have to offer you know just how far to go at a sale; and that more than likely we may saye you a day wasted at a sale. The summing up is, that when you want anything on wheels it is wise as a iirst step to call at THE FRANKLIN CARRIAGE FACTORY, KING STREET, PUKEKOHE. Where we Buy, Sell or Swap.
