ACCIDENT.
Mr F. Souster met with a very painful accident on Saturday. While chasiDg a pie he fell and dislocated his aim. Dr Wake attended to the injury. HELPING THE EMPIRE. Ihe Vicar, Rev. F. B. Dobson, announced at the chutch set vice on Sunday afterncon that the offerings of the gervice woulJ be hand.d over to the Women's branch tl the Bible in State Schools League, and also announced that the League would call a special metting to decide what steps ehould be Uken to render help to the Empire during the present serious crisis. EUCHRE. Tha fifth of the series of euchre parties held under the auspices of the Buckland Tennis Club took place on Friday evening. Theie were abcut sixty present. The prizrs were won by Mis H. H. D. Wily, 10 wins cut of 10 games played, and Mr H. Wilcox, who also won the possible. A succeesful dance followed at which the ladies supplied a delicious supper.
