HOCKEY.
Game at Mauku. Members of the Pukekohe L'idies' Hockey (jlub journeyed to Mauku on Saturday afternoon to play a friendly match against tne men. The men wore skirtß, which somewhat hampered their movements. Despite the rain and the slippery state of the ground a good contest was witnessed, which ended in a draw, each learn scoring two goils. Goals were Bcored by Misses O. Maxwell and S. Zinzan for the ladies, and T. Haeata and R. Moore for the men. After the match the team was entertained at dinner at the hotel, and subsequently at a dance in the hall, when a most enjoyable time was spent. Music was supplied by Mes-rs Reid (piano), Euenhut, Torker and Brae (aenrdeam. Mrs Rishton, on behalf of the Club, thanked the men for the treatment the visitors had received.
