PUKEKOHE HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
Committee Meeting.
A meeting of the committee of the Pckekohe District Horticultural Society was held on Saturday evening, thete being present: Dr Wake (in the chair), Mesdames Eamcs, Grigor and Miss Townson, Messrs Stembridge, J. B. Brown, Townson, Dickens, Grigcr, Baxter and Simpson.
The Kt. Hon. W. F. Masscy wrote accepting the position of patron of the Society. The report of the printing subcommittee was read and adopted. The resolution passed at the previous meeting, throwing the fruit and vegetable classes open to professional?, was rescinded, and it was decided to throw open the fiuit classes to professionals and that a "ficll class" be inserted in the schedule.
Mr Brown was added to the Fruit and blower Sub-Committee. It was resolved to give £o'o caßh in prize muney at each show. Entrance money was fixed at Gd and Is for members and nonmembers (children's classes excluded) respectively, except in special classes. Where there were two or more entries in one class it was decided thst on the first the tull entrance fee be paid and on the others half rate.
It was decided to hold over the fixing of the date of the show.
